We're glad you are here, and we invite you to learn more about this warm and caring religious community. Our congregation is a growing, vital, and joyful place to be. With roots deep in religious liberalism, we gather to explore the “big questions” and encourage one another’s spiritual journeys.
Our programs and events support people as they grow in curiosity, in spirit, and in community. We believe each person has unique gifts to offer the world, and that by meeting together as an open-hearted community, we can nurture and celebrate those gifts.
We focus on being in right relationship with ourselves, each other, our community, and the wider world. "We need not think alike to love alike" is a guiding principle for us.
We welcome atheists and theists, young and old, families and singles, people of every culture and ethnicity, LGBTQ+ and straight people ... you are truly welcome at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Northfield!
For Visitors: Newcomer Information Session
Our Newcomer Information Session is a brief overview of Unitarian Universalism and UUFN. Sessions last about 45 minutes, and no sign-up is necessary – just show up and learn more about our community! Sessions take place in person at UUFN after Sunday morning services. Children are welcome to attend with their grownup(s).
These sessions are offered regularly throughout the year after Sunday services.
New to UU
If you’re new (or new-ish) to Unitarian Universalism and want to dive deeper, New to UU is the class for you. This two-session class explores Unitarian Universalist history and theology, offering plenty of time for questions, reflections, and sharing personal stories.
We recommend this class for anyone new to Unitarian Universalism, especially if you’re considering membership. You’ll gain insight into UU beliefs while connecting with others who are also new to the community. These classes are engaging, meaningful, and fun!
New to UU is offered at various times throughout the year.
The Meaning of Membership
Ready to deepen your connection to UUFN? Join us for The Meaning of Membership class. This session covers what it means to be part of UUFN and explores the deeper significance of membership.
Participants reflect on their personal journey and what membership means to them. After completing the class, you’ll be invited to officially become a member by signing the membership book during a Sunday service.
This class is required for membership and is a wonderful way to connect with others considering joining. If you can’t attend but are interested in becoming a member, contact Rev. Sara.
New Member Recognition Sunday
New members are welcomed and celebrated by the congregation during a special Sunday service each spring. We invite you to take part in one of these celebrations when the time feels right for you. The exact date will be determined with the new member cohort.
For more information on any of these classes, contact Reverend Sara at revsara@uunorthfield.org. We’d love to welcome you into our community!
